In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2-3
No wonder the disciples were exhorted, as are we, not to have troubled hearts. The promise of a prepared place for a prepared people, the assurance of being where Jesus is and the blessed hope of the Lord’s return is comfort to every true child of God. Though Jesus promised that we will have tribulation in this world, what a glorious truth that this world is not our final home. No, we are strangers and pilgrims down here. We’re travelers, on a journey. We are just passing through. Although the way may be rocky and thorny, one day this dirt road will turn to gold. Be encouraged believer, one day, perhaps today, we shall see Christ as He is, not only to be with Him, but to be like Him forevermore!
