God’s Will

Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will;

God's Word declares in Ephesians 1:11 that He works all things after the counsel of His own will, to which I declare, "Bless His Holy Name!" What a God! What sovereignty! What wisdow! What compassion! Yes, what a love! Knowing that God always has His wise and perfect purpose in view for our lives is a comforting and consoling truth! Someone has correctly delcared that God is too wise to make a mistake and loves us to much to hurt us. However, sometimes the reproving love of God compels and constrains Him to descipline us when we sin. All Christians do sin, sometimes commission, other times omission. James 4:17 teaches that even when we know to do good, and yet don't do it, that this too is sin. Yet whether we're in God's will or out, whether we're obedient or not, God still works all things together for our good and His glory. To this very end, in the Old Testament, God used wicked kings and ungodly nations. This however, pales in comparison to Romans 8:32, namely, if God loved us enough when we were his enemies to give His best and His all in the cross of His Son, He certainly won't do less for us now that we're His children! Take heart, brethen, God is in control!
